Hyderabad: In the wake of a recent incident near a temple in Purana Pul, Hyderabad City Police have stepped up security measures to ensure peace and public safety in sensitive areas of the Old City.

Police Step Up Security After Purana Pul Incident

To reassure the public and prevent any disturbance, a flag march was conducted with the support of the Rapid Action Force (RAF). The march was led by G Chandramohan, along with the Goshamahal ACP.

The police patrol covered sensitive localities under:

  • Tappa Chabutra Police Station limits
  • Kulsumpura Police Station limits

Focus on Peace and Public Confidence

Officials said the flag march was conducted to:

  • Maintain law and order
  • Prevent rumours and misinformation
  • Boost public confidence
  • Deter anti-social elements
