Hyderabad Police Counsel Rowdy Sheeters, Warn of Strict Action Under PD Act

Hyderabad police conducted counselling for rowdy sheeters at Mailardevpally Police Station, warning of strict action under the PD Act to maintain peace and public order.

In a move aimed at maintaining law and order, the Hyderabad police conducted a counselling session for rowdy sheeters under the jurisdiction of Mailardevpally Police Station on Thursday evening. The session was held under the supervision of the Rajendranagar Zone Police to prevent criminal activities and ensure public safety.

Counselling Held at Mailardevpally Police Station

The counselling programme was conducted at 5:00 PM on February 6, 2026, under the guidance of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Rajendranagar Zone, who interacted directly with the rowdy sheeters and issued clear instructions regarding their conduct.

Clear Instructions to Maintain Peace

During the session, the DCP warned the rowdy sheeters to strictly avoid activities that disturb peace and public order.

They were instructed to:

  • Stay away from illegal and criminal activities
  • Maintain peaceful behaviour with the public
  • Avoid unnecessary movement during night hours
  • Not engage in threatening, intimidation, or extortion
  • Understand that strict legal action, including cases under the PD Act, will be taken if violations continue

Focus on Reform and Responsible Living

Apart from warnings, police officials also advised the rowdy sheeters to reform their behaviour, adopt a positive lifestyle, and live as responsible citizens. The counselling focused on discouraging repeat offences and encouraging social responsibility.

Assurance Given by Rowdy Sheeters

After the counselling session, the rowdy sheeters reportedly gave assurances to the police that they would not involve themselves in any untoward incidents in the future and would follow the law.

Preventive Policing to Ensure Safety

Police officials said such counselling sessions are part of preventive policing measures being taken across Hyderabad to curb crime and ensure safety in residential areas, especially under sensitive police station limits.
