Davos: The Telangana Rising delegation, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, secured a landmark investment from global cosmetics giant L’Oréal, marking the establishment of the world’s first beauty-tech Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad.

The facility is scheduled to be inaugurated in November 2026.

The announcement was made during the delegation’s meeting with L’Oréal CEO Nicolas Hieronimus at the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026 in Davos. Hieronimus expressed enthusiasm about setting up the large-scale GCC in Hyderabad, highlighting that the facility will serve as a global hub for innovation, technology, data, and supply chain operations.

The Hyderabad GCC will support L’Oréal’s digital transformation, AI, and analytics initiatives, with technology solutions developed locally being deployed across the company’s global operations.

Hon’ble Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Hon’ble Minister D. Sridhar Babu have been invited to attend the inauguration of the GCC later this year. Minister Sridhar Babu emphasized the state government’s full support for global investors and highlighted Hyderabad’s growing prominence in the GCC space.

He noted that Telangana is not only leading in med-tech and health-tech GCCs but is also pioneering new categories such as beauty-tech, creating fresh opportunities for international companies. Several global firms, including Vanguard, Netflix, McDonald’s, Heineken, Jaggaer, and Costco Wholesale, have recently chosen Hyderabad for their GCC operations, while hospitality majors like Marriott are expanding their presence in the state.

During the meeting, the delegation also presented details about the newly launched Telangana AI Innovation Hub (TAIH), which drew keen interest from L’Oréal’s CEO.

Additionally, Special Chief Secretary of ITE&C and Industries, Sanjay Kumar, invited L’Oréal to explore setting up a manufacturing unit in Hyderabad in the future. Hieronimus responded positively, signaling interest in potential manufacturing investments alongside the GCC.

This move further cements Hyderabad’s reputation as a leading global destination for innovation, technology-driven enterprise operations, and high-value investments in emerging sectors like beauty-tech.
