Hyderabad Tragedy, Man Stabbed in Qutbullapur, Relatives Accused in Murder Attempt

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident reported from Qutbullapur, a man was seriously injured in a knife attack allegedly carried out by his own relatives under the limits of Jagadgirigutta Police Station. Police have registered a case of attempted murder and launched a manhunt for the accused, who are currently absconding.

Knife Attack Near Alwyn Colony, Rajarajeshwari Ashram

The incident took place near Alwyn Colony, close to the Rajarajeshwari Ashram area. The victim, identified as Aravind, was attacked with a knife following a family dispute that escalated suddenly on Tuesday morning.

Victim Recently Shifted from Bihar

According to police sources, Aravind and his wife had moved from Bihar just a day earlier and taken a house on rent in Alwyn Colony. On Tuesday morning, a few close relatives visited the house, during which a heated argument broke out.

What started as a verbal dispute soon turned violent, with the relatives allegedly attacking Aravind with a knife, causing serious injuries.

Accused Relatives on the Run

After the attack:

• The accused relatives fled the spot
• Aravind’s wife is also reported to be missing
• Neighbours alerted police after hearing screams

The injured man was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.

Police Register Case, Investigation Underway

Police officials confirmed that a case has been registered under attempt to murder provisions. Special teams have been formed to trace and arrest the absconding relatives.

A senior police officer said efforts are underway to:

• Track the accused using technical evidence
• Question neighbours and local witnesses
• Verify the background of the family dispute
