Rangareddy District: In a major crackdown on illegal encroachments, HYDRAA carried out demolition operations in Narsingi, reclaiming valuable park land that was unlawfully occupied by land grabbers. The action has sent a strong warning against encroachments on public spaces.

The drive took place within the limits of Narsingi Municipality, where park land belonging to Arunodaya Housing Society was illegally taken over.

1,600 Square Yards of Park Land Recovered

Officials said nearly 1,600 square yards of park land had been encroached upon and illegal constructions were raised. Acting on complaints from local residents, HYDRAA officials inspected the site and launched immediate action.

The reclaimed land is estimated to be worth between ₹50 crore and ₹80 crore, highlighting the scale of the encroachment.

Illegal Constructions Demolished

During the operation:

  • Illegal structures on park land were completely demolished
  • The land was taken back under HYDRAA’s control
  • Boards were installed to mark the area as protected park space

Officials stressed that parks are vital public assets and must be preserved for community use.

Strict Warning Against Future Encroachments

HYDRAA officials issued a strong warning, stating that:

  • Park land encroachments will not be tolerated under any circumstances
  • Anyone involved in similar illegal activities in the future will face strict legal action
  • Surprise inspections and enforcement drives will continue across the district

Relief for Local Residents

Residents of the area welcomed the HYDRAA action, saying the demolition restored public land meant for greenery and recreation.

The Narsingi park land demolition drive is being seen as a decisive step in protecting public spaces and curbing land grabbing in Rangareddy district.
