Hyderabad: HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath conducted a field-level inspection on Thursday in response to multiple complaints regarding encroachments on government lands across various mandals of Medchal-Malkajgiri and Ranga Reddy districts.

The visit began at Gajularamaram in Quthbullapur mandal, where the commissioner examined government lands amid complaints that despite the expiry of quarry leases, some individuals were attempting to occupy the land illegally. Ranganath also inspected nearby lands belonging to the State Finance Corporation, where similar encroachment attempts were reported.

Officials were instructed to prevent the encroachment of nearly 400 acres of government land in the area. The Commissioner directed authorities to organize a meeting next week with individuals who had previously taken around 78 acres on lease.

Inspections Extend to Serilingampally and Rajendranagar

Later, the commissioner inspected the Nallagandla lake canal in Serilingampally mandal following complaints of encroachment. He directed the Vertex construction company to remove the dumped soil and ensure that the width of the canal is not reduced. The company assured that they would not obstruct the canal or its buffer zone during their construction activities.

Ranganath then visited Gopanapally village to review encroachment complaints concerning May Mellakunta. He concluded his inspections at Mamasani Kunta in Puppalaguda, Rajendranagar mandal, where he reviewed complaints related to lake boundary violations based on survey numbers, alongside local revenue officials.

The Commissioner emphasized the importance of protecting public assets and warned against any encroachment activity, asserting that strict action would be taken against violators.
