HYDRAA Protects Public Land Worth Rs.25 Crore in Boduppal, Fences 4,400 Sq Yards in Jayaprada Colony

Hyderabad: HYDRAA has protected 4,400 square yards of land worth an estimated Rs.25 crore meant for public amenities in Jayaprada Colony, Chengicherla Village, Boduppal Municipality, Medipally Mandal, Medchal-Malkajgiri district. Acting on a complaint received through HYDRAA Prajavani, officials conducted a field inspection, confirmed encroachments, and fenced the public utility land while installing HYDRAA boards to prevent further encroachment.

HYDRAA Protects 4,400 Sq Yards of Public Utility Land

The protected land is located in Jayaprada Colony of Chengicherla Village, under Boduppal Municipality in Medipally Mandal, Medchal-Malkajgiri district.

According to HYDRAA, the 4,400 square yards were earmarked for various public amenities, including:

  • 1,200 square yards for a park
  • 1,200 square yards for a shopping complex
  • 400 square yards for temples
  • 800 square yards for a school and library
  • 800 square yards for a water tank

Residents Raised Concern Over Encroachments

Residents of Jayaprada Colony expressed concern after land reserved for a shopping complex was allegedly converted into residential plots.

According to the press note, two houses had already been constructed on the land, and residents were worried as encroachments continued.

The colony residents submitted a complaint through HYDRAA Prajavani, seeking action to protect the public utility land.

HYDRAA Conducts Inspection and Fences the Land

Following the complaint, HYDRAA officials conducted a field-level inspection along with the concerned officials and confirmed the encroachments.

After verifying the encroachments, HYDRAA:

  • Fenced the land reserved for the park and other public amenities.
  • Installed HYDRAA boards at the site to safeguard the land from further encroachments.

Land Value Estimated at Rs.25 Crore

According to HYDRAA, the estimated value of the protected 4,400 square yards of public utility land is around Rs.25 crore.
