Khammam: Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced Indiramma houses for families affected by Bhoodan land issues, assuring that no poor family will be left without shelter.

He said the government will provide free house sites and construct houses under the Indiramma Housing Scheme for eligible beneficiaries.

Free House Sites and Allotment Before Deadline

The minister stated that:

  • House sites will be allotted free of cost
  • Eligible beneficiaries will receive houses
  • Allotment will be completed before the 15th of this month

He emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring that poor families can build houses without financial burden.

Socio-Economic Survey to Identify Beneficiaries

Authorities are conducting a survey to identify families who lost homes, especially in Bhoodan lands.

According to the minister:

  • Deserving families will get both land and houses
  • Beneficiaries will be selected transparently
  • No injustice will be done to affected people

Basic Facilities Planned in Housing Areas

The government plans to provide essential infrastructure along with housing, including:

  • Basic civic amenities
  • Anganwadi centres
  • Government schools

These steps aim to create sustainable residential communities.

Clarification on Bhoodan Land Issue

The minister said the survey revealed that about 720 families had been living on Bhoodan lands for several years, and the government will ensure they are rehabilitated.

He assured that affected families will be given a safe and habitable place.

Ugadi Target for House Allotments

The government is planning to sanction Indiramma houses on the occasion of Ugadi, with beneficiary identification already underway.

Officials are also identifying land parcels for construction of housing complexes in various locations.

Government Assures Support to Poor Families

The Indiramma Housing Scheme for Bhoodan land families, announced by Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, reflects the government’s commitment to providing housing security and dignity to the poor.
