Innovative Awareness Campaign by Cyberabad Police

Hyderabad: In a unique initiative, the Cyberabad police in Hyderabad deploy a creative approach to raise awareness about cybercrimes.

A Tempting Discovery

Passersby in Hyderabad recently stumbled upon what appeared to be a lost wallet on the road, complete with a currency note peeking out. The temptation to pick it up was strong, but there was more to this scenario than met the eye.

The Prankster Revealed

As it turns out, this intriguing wallet was not lost but a cleverly designed pamphlet created by the Cyberabad police. Their intention was to educate the public about the risks of cybercrimes through an unexpected twist.

Unveiling the Message

Upon picking up the ‘wallet’ and examining its contents, individuals quickly realized that it was, in fact, a flyer. The message conveyed was clear: “Real vs. Rogue, Just like this wallet, online fakes abound. If you are a cyber victim and lost money, call 1930. Stay vigilant. Stay secure.”

The Role of TSCSB

This innovative awareness campaign was orchestrated by the Telangana State Cyber Security Bureau (TSCSB), led by Cyberabad Police Commissioner Stephen Raveendra.

Established in March, the TSCSB is at the forefront of the battle against cybercrime and continues to find inventive ways to educate and protect the public from online threats.
