Is a New World Religion in the Making? Imam Says, ‘Abrahamic Faith’ Coming Soon

In a thought-provoking statement, Dr. Imam Umair Ahmed Ilyasi, one of India’s prominent religious leaders, has revealed that preparations are underway for the emergence of a new global religion aimed at uniting Muslims, Christians, and Jews.

New Delhi: In a thought-provoking statement, Dr. Imam Umair Ahmed Ilyasi, one of India’s prominent religious leaders, has revealed that preparations are underway for the emergence of a new global religion aimed at uniting Muslims, Christians, and Jews.

This new faith, which may be called the “Abrahamic One Faith,” is being conceptualized as a common spiritual umbrella for the three major Abrahamic religions.

Abrahamic Faith Center Already Built in Abu Dhabi

Speaking about the initiative, Imam Ilyasi stated that a dedicated center named the Abrahamic Faith Center has already been established in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). This center is being seen as a symbolic and practical step toward religious harmony, representing the shared values of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism.

He emphasized that these three religions are not only spiritually connected but also genealogically related, referring to them as “cousins” who trace their roots back to Prophet Abraham. Despite this, historical and theological differences have often led to conflict.

A Ramadan Realization

Imam Ilyasi shared that the idea became clearer to him during the holy month of Ramadan, as he felt a divine message calling for unity among followers of these three faiths. “There is only one right way to unite Muslims, Christians, and Jews – and that is through the Abrahamic Faith,” he said.

No Timeline Yet, But Global Preparations Underway

While the Imam did not provide a specific timeline for when the new religion would formally take shape, he noted that preparations are already in motion across the world. “This is not just a concept or a theory. The foundation has been laid, and people are beginning to understand the shared values that can unite them,” he added.

Shared Values, Different Practices

According to Imam Ilyasi, although the rituals and methods of worship in Islam, Judaism, and Christianity may differ, their core teachings on compassion, family, justice, and humanity are remarkably similar. The proposed Abrahamic One Faith aims to highlight these commonalities while respecting individual traditions.

This initiative, if realized, could mark a significant moment in global interfaith dialogue and efforts toward religious coexistence.
