A deeply moving and faith-inspiring story is going viral on social media, touching the hearts of Muslims around the world. A 26-year-old man from Jordan, Badr Badran, who had been unable to speak for years, reportedly regained his speech while performing Umrah in front of the Holy Kaaba in Makkah.

Eyewitnesses said that during tawaf, as emotions overwhelmed him, Badr suddenly began to speak. The first words that came from his lips were “La Ilaha Illallah” (There is no god but Allah), leaving those present visibly emotional and in tears.

According to family members and close sources, Badr was not mute by birth. At around the age of five, he suffered a severe psychological trauma that caused him to lose his ability to speak. While his hearing remained intact, years of medical treatment and psychological therapy failed to restore his speech. For over two decades, he could hear everything but was unable to express himself verbally.

Badr began his Umrah journey on January 13, sharing moments of his travel from Madinah to Makkah on social media. On January 17, after arriving in Makkah, the extraordinary moment occurred during tawaf. In the widely shared video, Badr can be seen dressed in ihram, circumambulating the Kaaba before announcing that his ability to speak had returned and that his first spoken words were the declaration of faith.

The video quickly spread across social media platforms. While a few users raised questions, the overwhelming response viewed the moment as a manifestation of Allah’s mercy, power, and acceptance of prayers, offering heartfelt duas for Badr.

Badr’s mother shared an emotional post on Facebook, writing:
“Alhamdulillah, abundant praise be to Allah as befits His Majesty and Greatness. After 25 years of patience, Allah granted us the blessing of hearing our son Badr say ‘La Ilaha Illallah’ in front of the Holy Kaaba. This is a joy beyond words. All grace belongs to Allah alone.”

In Jordan, Badr is also known as a passionate supporter of popular football club Al-Faisaly. The club congratulated him through its official page, stating that after 26 years of silence, Badr Badran regained his speech during his visit to the Holy Kaaba, a moment that brought joy not only to fans but across the region.

One of Badr’s teachers explained that his condition resulted from severe childhood trauma and could not be treated by medical science despite years of effort. The long trial of more than two decades, marked by patience and prayer, ultimately culminated in a moment that renewed faith for many.

Regardless of differing interpretations, the incident has emerged as a powerful reminder of hope, patience, and unwavering belief in Allah. The video from Masjid al-Haram continues to circulate widely on social media, with viewers across the world responding with just one heartfelt phrase: SubhanAllah.
