Jubilee Hills Robbery Case: Police Arrest Two Accused, Recover Jewellery Worth ₹1.3 Crore

Jubilee Hills Police arrested two accused in a planned house robbery at Nandagiri Hills, Hyderabad, and recovered gold and diamond jewellery worth ₹1.3 crore.

Hyderabad: In a major breakthrough, the Jubilee Hills Police, in coordination with the Hyderabad City Task Force, have arrested two accused involved in a pre-planned house robbery in Jubilee Hills, where gold and diamond jewellery worth ₹1.3 crore was stolen.

The incident took place at a residence in Nandagiri Hills, Jubilee Hills, and was carefully planned with inside help, police said.


Robbery Planned with Help of Maid Servant

According to police, the robbery occurred on February 5, 2026, when the house owner and family members were away.

Key details of the crime:

  • The robbery was planned by an absconding mastermind Jiban Chand
  • A maid servant working in the house helped the gang gain entry
  • Intoxicating substances were given to watchmen and the cook
  • Gold and diamond jewellery worth ₹1.3 crore was stolen

The accused belong to a Nepali gang, police said.


Accused Caught at Indo-Nepal Border

Police teams tracked the suspects and intercepted them near the Indo-Nepal border.

The arrested accused are:

  • Bhupender Shahi alias Bhuvan (22)
  • Krishna Chand (23)
  • Stolen jewellery was recovered from their possession
  • Both accused confessed to the crime
  • They have been remanded to judicial custody

The case has been registered at Jubilee Hills Police Station under Crime No. 67/2026, with sections 309(6), 331(6), 123, 127(2), 115 read with 61(2) of BNS invoked.

Police said efforts are on to:

  • Arrest other absconding gang members
  • Recover the remaining stolen property
