Hyderabad: Raziuddin Nasir, youngest son of late Maulana Naseeruddin, who was inflicted in 2008 Ahmedabad serial bomb blasts case has been acquitted from the charges. The serial blasts were carried out in 2008 in which 56 innocent people were killed and over 200 sustained serious injuries.
A special Court of Ahmedabad held 49 accused guilty while acquitted 28 accused as no proof could be found against them. Nasir is also among those who were acquitted. He was languishing in Sabarmati jail for the past 14 years.
Maulana Naseeruddin’s son faced too many atrocities on the charges of terrorism. Even Maulana Naseeruddin was detained in jail for several year but charges against him could not be proved either. There was a time when all the male members of Maulana’s family were sent to jail.
Maulana’s another son Yasir told that another fake case is pending against his brother and it is hoped that he will soon be acquitted in that case as well.
