Karnataka BJP MLA urges voters to choose a double-engine Govt in Telangana
Dr Chandrappa highlighted issues in Karnataka, such as the government's failure to provide 10 kilograms of rice to the poor and instead offering Rs 170, which is higher than the market price of Rs. 60 per kilogram.
Hyderabad: Dr Chandrappa, BJP MLA and former KSRTC chairman, appealed to the people of Telangana, urging them to vote for a double-engine government in the state to accelerate development.
Addressing reporters in Hyderabad on Tuesday, Dr. Chandrappa criticised the Congress, stating that the party had deceived the people of Karnataka with false guarantees. He warned the people of Telangana not to fall into the trap of the Congress.
Dr Chandrappa highlighted issues in Karnataka, such as the government’s failure to provide 10 kilograms of rice to the poor and instead offering Rs 170, which is higher than the market price of Rs. 60 per kilogram.
He also pointed out unfulfilled promises, such as the Vidya Nidhi of Rs 3000 per month for unemployed graduates, the non-implementation of 200 units of free power for the poor, and the limited reach of the Gruha Lakshmi scheme.
The BJP MLA urged the media to investigate these issues and emphasised that the people of Karnataka had never experienced such governance before. He criticised the increased excise duty from 30 to 60 percent, stating that despite the rise in government revenue from Rs. 23,000 crores to Rs. 36,000 crores, there has been no visible progress in developmental works.
Dr. Chandrappa mentioned the internal divisions within the Congress in Karnataka, led by Siddaramaiah, DK Siva Kumar, Satish, and KH Muniyappa from the Madiga community. According to him, these divisions have hindered the delivery of promises made to the people.
He concluded by asserting that only a double-engine government would expedite development, urging the people of Telangana to vote for the BJP.
