Azad Hind Fauj and Global Support
Kavitha highlighted that Netaji went on to form the Azad Hind Fauj (Indian National Army) and continued India’s freedom struggle even from abroad. She said Netaji was not only a fearless leader but also a brilliant diplomat who mobilised international support against British rule.
Role of Women in Netaji’s Vision
She also pointed out that Netaji empowered women by forming the Jhansi Lakshmi Bai Regiment, giving them a direct role in the freedom movement.
Kavitha remarked that even today, governments have failed to fully implement promises like 33 percent reservation for women, while Netaji had empowered women decades ago.
Preserving the Legacy of Great Leaders
Kavitha recalled that even former British Prime Minister Clement Attlee had acknowledged the impact of the Azad Hind Fauj. She said political promises may change with time, but preserving the legacy of leaders like Netaji is a national responsibility.
