KCR invited for Telangana Formation Day celebrations

Former Chief Minister Telangana K Chandrashekar Rao has been invited by the State government to attend the celebrations of Telangana Formation Day on June 2.

Hyderabad: Former Chief Minister Telangana K Chandrashekar Rao has been invited by the State government to attend the celebrations of Telangana Formation Day on June 2.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has written a letter to KCR to participate in the Formation Day celebrations and asked the officials to personally hand over the letter to him.

The responsibility of handing over the letter personally was entrusted to Advisor to Government (Protocol) Harkara Venugopal and Director of Protocol Arvinder Singh.

On the instructions of Revanth Reddy, Government Advisor Harkara Venugopal and Director of Protocol Arvinder Singh came to the residence of KCR at Banjara Hills on Friday and handed over the letter of invitation and Chief Minister’s letter to the former chief minister.

After speaking to the media, Harkara Venugopal said that the State government had decided to conduct the Telangana Formation Day celebrations on the grand scale and it also took a decision to extend the invitation for all the leaders, including KCR.

“As a former chief minister and opposition leader, KCR has been asked to participate in the celebrations. He has responded positively on the invitation,” Venugopal said.
