Hyderabad: BRS working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) has strongly criticized the ruling Congress government in Telangana, stating that only the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has the strength and public support to end what he described as a failed and deceptive regime.

Speaking during a late-night review meeting with Warangal BRS leaders on Tuesday, KTR said that the Congress, led by CM Revanth Reddy, has already triggered public resentment within a year of taking office.

“Congress Came to Power by Deceiving People,” Says KTR

KTR alleged that the Congress party made false promises to gain power but has failed to deliver on its commitments. “This is a government that came to power in the name of public welfare, but it has only abused the trust of the people,” he said.

He called upon BRS cadre to expose Congress’s betrayal at every level and communicate the truth to citizens across Telangana.

Warangal Sabha Sparks Momentum for BRS Revival

Celebrating the recent silver jubilee of BRS in Warangal, KTR hailed the Elkathurthi Sabha as a historic success. He said the meeting had injected fresh energy into the party ranks and shifted the political momentum.

“The Warangal Sabha marked the beginning of the end for Congress in Telangana,” KTR declared.

He emphasized that the BRS remains the central force in state politics, and that the recent public gathering demonstrated the people’s enduring trust and affection for the party founded by K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR).

Highlighting key concerns, KTR accused the Congress-led government of:

  • Neglect of farmers, especially regarding crop procurement and compensation
  • Delay in farmer guarantee payments
  • Administrative corruption, particularly in recent recruitment drives

KTR promised that BRS will launch massive statewide movements focused on:

  • Farmers’ suicides and agrarian distress
  • Exposing recruitment irregularities
  • Demanding compensation for rain-affected farmers

KTR outlined a comprehensive action plan to mobilize public support and mount pressure on the government. “We will fight relentlessly against this anarchy. Our people’s movements will expose Congress’s fraudulent nature,” he said.

Elkathurthi Sabha Symbolizes People’s Trust in BRS

Calling it the largest public meeting in Telangana’s history, KTR said the Elkathurthi Sabha showed the “unquenchable love” of the people for BRS and the party’s strong organizational capabilities.

He praised local leaders and thanked party president KCR for entrusting Warangal with the celebration of 25 years of BRS.
