Hyderabad: In view of the Iran–Israel war situation, Mahesh Kumar Goud, Telangana Congress President and MLC, urged Telugu people living in Gulf countries to remain extremely cautious. He expressed concern over the safety of thousands of workers, businesspersons, and professionals from Telangana currently residing in the region.

He said the growing tensions and missile threats have created an atmosphere of fear in several areas.

Large Number of Telangana Residents in Gulf

Mahesh Kumar Goud noted that a significant population from Telangana lives in Gulf nations, including:

  • Workers and labourers
  • Business owners
  • Private sector employees

He urged authorities to continuously monitor the situation and provide timely updates to ensure their safety.

Flight Disruptions Adding to Concerns

The Telangana Congress leader pointed out that flight cancellations due to the Iran–Israel conflict have caused major inconvenience to passengers from the state. Many travellers are facing uncertainty and delays because of the ongoing crisis.

He called on both central and state governments to coordinate and take necessary steps for the safe return of Telugu citizens if required.

Safety Guidelines for Telugus Abroad

Mahesh Kumar Goud advised residents in Gulf countries, especially in the UAE and Iraq, to:

  • Strictly follow instructions issued by local authorities
  • Avoid unnecessary travel outdoors
  • Stay in regular contact with Indian embassies

He reassured families, particularly those from Nizamabad, Adilabad, and Karimnagar districts, that the government is monitoring the situation closely.

Appeal Against Rumours

He also urged the public not to believe unverified information and to rely only on official updates. According to him, spreading rumours can create panic and confusion during sensitive situations.

Reiterating his appeal amid the Iran–Israel war situation, Mahesh Kumar Goud urged Telugu people in Gulf countries to stay alert and follow safety guidelines. He emphasized that authorities are keeping a close watch and necessary steps will be taken to ensure their security.
