Malkajgiri MLA Takes Up Waqf Land Dispute Issue, Seeks Relief for Affected Residents

The MLA urged the Waqf Board to immediately remove the concerned survey numbers from the 22-A list and ensure justice for the affected residents. Responding to the concerns, the Chairman and CEO assured that the matter would be thoroughly reviewed and appropriate action would be taken at the earliest.

Malkajgiri: In a significant development, Marri Rajasekhar Reddy met with Telangana State Waqf Board Chairman Syed Azmatullah Hussain and CEO Mohammed Asadullah to address pressing concerns related to land disputes affecting several residential colonies in the constituency.

During the meeting, the MLA highlighted that the Waqf Board’s claims over certain lands—reportedly due to incorrect survey number entries—have been causing severe hardship to local residents. He emphasized that the properties in question were legally purchased and are backed by valid sale deeds, link documents, pahani records, and other supporting evidence.

He further pointed out that, according to High Court cases and orders issued by the District Collector and survey authorities, the disputed lands fall outside the jurisdiction of Malkajgiri. Despite this, the inclusion of these survey numbers in the 22-A prohibited list has effectively stalled property registrations, creating major inconvenience for homeowners and buyers alike.

The MLA urged the Waqf Board to immediately remove the concerned survey numbers from the 22-A list and ensure justice for the affected residents. Responding to the concerns, the Chairman and CEO assured that the matter would be thoroughly reviewed and appropriate action would be taken at the earliest.

Reaffirming his commitment, Marri Rajasekhar Reddy stated that he will continue to work towards protecting the property rights of the people of Malkajgiri.

The meeting was also attended by former corporator Jagadish Goud, along with local leaders Hemant Patel, Arun Rao, Ghouse Imran, Sampath Yadav, Shiva Sai Yadav, Babu Rao, Murugesh, and representatives of various colony welfare associations.
