Panic gripped the Koti Bank Street area on Saturday morning after a firing incident near the State Bank of India (SBI) head office. According to reports, two unidentified armed men on a motorcycle opened fire on a person, looted ₹6 lakh in cash, and fled the scene.

Police said the victim, identified as Rashid, a cloth trader from Nampally, was being followed by the attackers before they shot at him around 7 a.m. Rashid sustained a bullet injury to his leg and was immediately shifted to Osmania General Hospital for treatment.
Sultan Bazar police reached the spot soon after the incident and began examining CCTV footage from the surrounding area. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Shilpa Valli told the media that clue teams are collecting preliminary evidence.

She said the police were alerted immediately after receiving information about the firing, and five special teams have been formed to trace and arrest the accused. These teams are conducting searches in multiple directions.
The DCP described the incident as unfortunate, especially in such a busy area, and assured that the accused would be apprehended soon.
