Sana Khan, the Minority Wing Chief of BJP’s Maharashtra unit, was reported missing for a week and tragically found murdered by her husband, Jabalpur Police have confirmed.
A joint operation by Jabalpur and Nagpur Police led to the arrest of the main suspect, Amit alias Pappu Sahu.
Sana had traveled from Nagpur to Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, to meet Amit. However, she didn’t return home as planned within two days.
Amit Shah was involved in liquor smuggling and ran a roadside eatery near Jabalpur. Ongoing financial disputes between Sana and Pappu had escalated.
Amit confessed during questioning to killing Sana Khan, revealing he fatally beat her at his residence. He then disposed of her body in the Hiran River, around 45 kilometers from Jabalpur.
Subsequently, the police began a comprehensive investigation at the crime scene with the apprehended suspect.
Sana and Amit were married and had long-standing money disputes. Their meeting in Jabalpur resulted in a heated argument, leading to Amit striking Sana, causing her demise.
Police have indicated the involvement of another individual, prompting an active search for this person. The apprehended suspect is currently under interrogation.
Sana Khan arrived in Jabalpur on August 2 from Nagpur but went missing shortly thereafter. Despite her family’s efforts to locate her, her whereabouts remained unknown.
Concerns about foul play triggered a collaborative investigation involving both Jabalpur and Nagpur police.
