Nehru Zoological Park, Salar Jung Museum to Shut Doors Tomorrow

Hyderabad: In light of the Telangana Legislative Assembly elections scheduled for Thursday, November 30, both Nehru Zoological Park and Salar Jung Museum are set to be closed for tourists on that day. The closures are part of broader initiatives to ensure public safety and facilitate the electoral process.

As a precautionary measure, a holiday has been declared for all public and private educational institutions within the city. In an unprecedented move, IT companies have received strict instructions to grant a day off to all employees to encourage maximum voter turnout.

Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda police have collaboratively organized extensive security arrangements to maintain order during the elections. Senior officers from the three commissionerates, in conjunction with election officials, have devised a comprehensive deployment strategy involving local law enforcement agencies and personnel from the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF).

In a bid to further bolster security, the police are considering enlisting the assistance of National Cadet Corps (NCC) and National Service Scheme (NSS) cadets. These cadets may be assigned various duties to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of security measures during the election process. The coordinated efforts aim to ensure a smooth and secure electoral experience for both voters and residents alike.
