No Land Seizure at HCU: Bhatti Vikramarka Assures Students Amid Tensions

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka assured on Wednesday that the cases filed against students of Hyderabad Central University (HCU) would be dropped.

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka assured on Wednesday that the cases filed against students of Hyderabad Central University (HCU) would be dropped. Addressing concerns, he emphasized that the state government would not seize any land belonging to the university and that the police should avoid aggressive actions towards the students.

In his statement, Vikramarka also clarified that the government would not take over even an inch of land from HCU, ensuring that the educational institution’s assets remained intact.

Govt to Protect HCU Land; No Aggression Towards Students

Vikramarka elaborated on the history of land allotments in the region, stating that in the past, 400 acres of land had been allocated by former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to a company named Bharat IMG, which was later deemed fraudulent. This allotment was canceled by the YSR government to protect public assets.

The Deputy Chief Minister pointed out that while previous governments had neglected the land, allowing private parties to benefit, the BRS government had successfully reclaimed 400 acres of land through legal battles in the High Court and Supreme Court. These lands were being utilized for the development of a hi-tech city, which would be handed over to IT companies for expansion.

However, Vikramarka reassured the public that no land from HCU would be taken, and the government would continue to protect the university’s land for its rightful purpose.

Government to Focus on Development Without Affecting HCU

The deputy Chief minister also addressed the alleged instigation of students by external forces with ideological ties to the RSS, claiming that the BRS government was committed to peaceful and fair development. While utilizing other lands for projects, the government vowed to ensure that HCU’s interests were protected, including preserving the environment and ensuring the well-being of all living organisms.

Vikramarka’s statement marks a significant commitment to both the educational integrity of HCU and the broader developmental goals for the region, as the government moves forward with its plans for economic growth and infrastructure expansion.

Ensuring Justice for HCU Students

The Deputy Chief Minister’s firm stance reflects the government’s commitment to balancing progress with the rights and safety of students. As the cases against the students are set to be dropped, it signals a renewed focus on ensuring peaceful coexistence between academic institutions and government development plans.

This assurance from the deputy Chief minister aims to calm rising tensions and provide clarity on the future of Hyderabad Central University’s land and its students’ welfare.
