Olive Sarvodaya, Tameer-e-Millat and A Battery Line Masjid Committee Organise Free Community Health Awareness Camp

The camp also featured free consultations by experienced specialists in Orthopedics, General Medicine, Neurology, Gynecology, and General Physician services, catering to the healthcare needs of men, women, senior citizens, and individuals vulnerable to non-communicable and lifestyle-related illnesses.

Hyderabad: In a significant initiative aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and strengthening community health awareness, Olive Sarvodaya Hospital, in collaboration with All India Majlis Tameer-e-Millat and Jama Masjid Committee, A Battery Line, organised a Free Health Awareness and Medical Camp on Sunday at Jama Masjid, A Battery Lane, Shantinagar Colony, Masab Tank.

The camp was conducted from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and witnessed active participation from local residents. The initiative underscored the importance of early diagnosis and preventive care under the guiding principle, “Prevention Is Better Than Cure.”

Speaking on the occasion, representatives of All India Majlis Tameer-e-Millat highlighted the organisation’s long-standing commitment to social upliftment, community welfare, and public health advocacy. Through such initiatives, Tameer-e-Millat continues its mission of empowering communities by improving access to healthcare and spreading awareness on lifestyle-related diseases.

As part of the camp, free basic health screenings including Blood Pressure (BP), Body Mass Index (BMI), and GRBS were provided. Additionally, Olive Sarvodaya Hospital announced a 25 percent concession on further medical investigations, enabling participants to continue their treatment and follow-up care at affordable costs.

The camp also featured free consultations by experienced specialists in Orthopedics, General Medicine, Neurology, Gynecology, and General Physician services, catering to the healthcare needs of men, women, senior citizens, and individuals vulnerable to non-communicable and lifestyle-related illnesses.

Mr. Waheed, Secretary of Jama Masjid, A Battery Line, emphasized the importance of community participation in preventive healthcare initiatives and urged residents to take full advantage of the free services. He stated that awareness and early detection are crucial in preventing serious health complications.

Local Area Corporator Mr. Arif Rizwa appreciated the joint efforts of the organisers and stressed the need for regular health check-ups, particularly in densely populated urban areas where non-communicable diseases are on the rise. He called upon citizens to prioritize health as a shared community responsibility.

The organisers stated that Olive Sarvodaya Hospital, guided by its motto “Devoted to Saving Lives,” remains committed to extending quality healthcare beyond hospital walls and reaching people at the grassroots level through community-driven initiatives.

Such preventive healthcare programmes play a vital role in bridging the gap between medical institutions and the public, reinforcing the importance of early awareness, timely screening, and collective responsibility in building a healthier society.
