PD Act Invoked Against Rowdy Sheeter Tabrez in Hyderabad for Multiple Criminal Cases
Hyderabad Police have invoked the PD Act against rowdy sheeter Mohammed Tabrez alias Tabbu for his involvement in murder, attempt to murder, and multiple serious criminal cases across the city.

In a major action to maintain public order, the Hyderabad Police on December 25, 2025, invoked the Preventive Detention (PD) Act against Mohammed Tabrez alias Tabbu, a known rowdy sheeter involved in multiple serious criminal cases.

The action was taken as per the directions of the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, considering the repeated criminal activities of the accused and the threat posed to public safety.

- Police Station History: Earlier under Rein Bazar PS, presently Bhavani Nagar
- Current Status: Lodged in Chanchalguda Central Jail

Criminal Background and Charges
Police officials stated that the detenue is involved in several serious and violent offences, including murder, attempt to murder, and bodily offences registered across multiple police stations.

(Domalguda Police Station) - Cr. No. 63/2025 – Sections 191(2), 191(3), 103 r/w 3(5), 190, 61(2) BNS-2023 and Section 4 r/w 27(1) of the Arms Act, 1959
(Rein Bazar Police Station)
He is also accused in the murder case of Masiuddin (Rein Bazar PS) and an attempt to murder case registered at Domalguda Police Station.
Police Action to Maintain Law and Order
Police officials stated that the repeated involvement of the accused in violent and unlawful activities created fear among the public. To prevent further offences and ensure public safety, the PD Act was invoked.
The accused has been shifted to Chanchalguda Central Prison following the detention order.

The action was taken under the supervision of CH Nethaji, Inspector of Police and SHO, Rein Bazar Police Station, following due legal procedure and approval from senior authorities.
