PDS Ration Scam Busted in Hyderabad’s Old City – Illegal Stock Seized, One Arrested
Authorities reiterated that strict action will continue against those misusing government welfare supplies, ensuring that essential commodities reach the rightful beneficiaries.

Hyderabad: In a major crackdown on the illegal diversion of public distribution supplies, a joint operation was carried out by the Civil Supplies Department Telangana and Kalapathar Police in the Ramnastpura area under Kalapathar Police Station limits.
Acting on specific intelligence inputs, officials raided a suspected PDS rice godown and uncovered a large quantity of illegally stored ration meant for the poor and needy under the Public Distribution System India.
The operation was led by Civil Supplies Inspectors Mohammed Aamir and Feroz Abdul Jabbar. During the raid, authorities seized approximately 4 quintals (8 bags) of PDS rice and 13 quintals (26 bags) of wheat.
Officials confirmed that the ration was being illegally transported and diverted for sale in the black market. The main accused, Mohammed Pasha, was caught red-handed at the scene and immediately taken into custody.
Kalapathar Police have registered a case and launched a detailed investigation to uncover the wider network behind this illegal activity.
