While dismissing fuel shortage rumors, the Minister clarified:

  • There is a shortage of commercial gas cylinders in Telangana

Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar also confirmed:

  • The city has adequate fuel stock for around 60 days
  • Supply is running smoothly without interruption
  • Authorities are in constant contact with oil companies

He explained that:

  • Panic buying has caused a sudden spike in fuel demand
  • Temporary “no stock” signs at some pumps are due to high demand, not shortage

  • Fuel sales jumped from 3,024 kilolitres to 6,400 kilolitres in one day
