“For the first time, no spark has been ignited abroad, nor is there anyone to fan the flames,” Modi said, emphasizing the absence of foreign involvement in stoking trouble during this critical period.
This marks a significant departure from the past when, according to the Prime Minister, external elements had often tried to create tensions or escalate issues in the country ahead of important sessions in Parliament.
He noted, “I have been observing for the last 10 years, before every session, people get ready to do mischief and here, we know that there is no shortage of people to escalate it.”
This statement comes as a pointed criticism of the opposition, implying that it had often been susceptible to external influences, particularly in the context of contentious sessions.
Focus on India’s Growth and Prosperity

“I pray that Maa Lakshmi continues to bless the poor and middle class of our country,” Modi remarked, setting the tone for the economic discussions to come.
Vision for a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047
In his address, PM Modi also spoke about India’s long-term vision for the future, focusing on the country’s progress as it prepares to mark 100 years of independence in 2047.
He expressed confidence that India would fulfill its goal of becoming a developed nation, or “Viksit Bharat,” by the centenary of its independence.
“This is the first complete budget of my third term. I can confidently say that in 2047, when India will complete 100 years of Independence, India will fulfill its aim of Viksit Bharat,” he declared.
Modi emphasized that this year’s budget would provide new energy and hope for the country, aligning with the larger national objective of achieving holistic development.
“This budget will give new energy and hope to the nation, and the 140-crore people will fulfill this vow,” he said.

Innovation, inclusion, and investment — this is the roadmap of our economic development,” Modi said. These guiding principles are seen as essential to building a resilient and inclusive economy that benefits all sections of society.
He further emphasized that the government would work with states in a collaborative manner to bring about transformational change. “Reform, perform, and transform… the Centre and state will work together and bring transformation,” Modi stated, indicating the government’s focus on cooperative federalism to achieve sustainable development.
Empowering Youth and Future Generations
PM Modi also made a special appeal to young members of Parliament, urging them to contribute to the development of a “Viksit Bharat.”
He noted that India’s youth, particularly those aged 25-26 today, would be the beneficiaries of a developed India. “In this budget session, all MPs will contribute to strengthening Viksit Bharat, especially the young MPs since it is a golden opportunity for them,” Modi said.
He pointed out that these young leaders would be the witnesses to India’s development, and when they turn 45-46, they would see the benefits of a prosperous and developed nation.

The Budget Session is a key moment for India’s political and economic trajectory. With the government poised to present its fiscal plan, it is expected to be a crucial time for policy reforms, strategic planning, and legislative action.
