BJP’s N Ramchander Rao Targets Congress, BRS; Says Party Ready to Capture Power in Telangana

Hyderabad: BJP Telangana State President N Ramchander Rao on Sunday called on the people of Telangana to prepare for a political battle against the alleged anti-people policies of the ruling Congress and BRS parties. Addressing the BJP’s district executive committee meeting under the Hyderabad Central District jurisdiction, Rao claimed the BJP has the strongest organisational network in the state, criticised both the previous BRS and present Congress governments, and expressed confidence that the BJP would capture power in Telangana and the Mayor’s seat in Hyderabad, Malkajgiri and Cyberabad if elections are held.

BJP Holds District Executive Committee Meeting in Hyderabad

N Ramchander Rao attended the BJP district executive committee meeting as the chief guest under the Hyderabad Central District jurisdiction.

He said that after the state executive meetings, the district and division-level executive meetings are crucial for strengthening the party’s organisational structure and preparing for future political challenges.

BJP Has Strong Organisation Across Telangana, Says Rao

Rao claimed that no political party in Telangana can compete with the BJP organisationally.

According to him:

• Telangana has approximately 35,000 polling booths.
• BJP has full-fledged booth committees in nearly 31,000 booths.
• The party has more than 42 lakh members.
• BJP has strong organisational units in 870 out of 920 mandals.

He also claimed that minorities are ready to join the BJP in large numbers and stressed the need to convert the party’s organisational strength into electoral victories.

Ramchander Rao Targets Congress and BRS Governments

Criticising both governments, Rao alleged that the previous BRS government and the current Congress government have ignored public issues.

He alleged that:

• Congress came to power by making false promises and guarantees.
• The Congress government is repeating the mistakes committed by the BRS government.

Allegations on Unemployment and Recruitment

Rao said the BRS has no moral right to speak about unemployment.

He alleged that former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) promised one job for every household but failed to fulfil the promise.

According to Rao, during the BRS government’s 10-year rule:

• Examination papers, including Group-1, were leaked.
• Vacancies for professors, lecturers and other government departments were not filled.
• The unemployed were deceived.

He further alleged that the present Congress government is performing even worse by giving jobs and posts to the families and followers of ministers and MLAs instead of providing employment to the youth.

Rao also criticised the government for not issuing any major recruitment notifications except for constable posts.

BJP Chief Alleges Congress Fears BJP Victory in Hyderabad

Rao alleged that the Congress government is afraid of a BJP victory in Hyderabad.

He claimed that:

• The GHMC limits were expanded to 300 wards.
• Hyderabad was divided into three parts.
• Malkajgiri and Cyberabad were separated.

He alleged that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy adopted this strategy to benefit the Majlis (MIM) party and “hand over Hyderabad as a gift” to it.

Despite this, Rao expressed confidence that BJP would win the Mayor’s seat in Hyderabad, Malkajgiri and Cyberabad if elections are held.

Criticism of HYDRAA and Hyderabad Civic Issues

Rao criticised the functioning of the Revanth Reddy government and alleged that under the name of HYDRAA, the government first targeted poor people by demolishing their houses.

He further alleged that:

• Big institutions like Fatima College were left untouched.
• Only houses of poor people were demolished.
• HYDRAA was introduced to convert industrial land into real estate land for financial benefit.

He claimed that HYDRAA would ultimately result in a “Hydra Halt”, affecting Hyderabad’s development.

He also alleged that despite the arrival of the monsoon after summer, people in Hyderabad are still not receiving drinking water.

BJP Claims It Is Emerging as Telangana’s Alternative

Rao claimed that the people of Telangana are tired of the rule of both the Congress and BRS parties and are looking at the BJP as an alternative.

He further claimed that current surveys place the BJP in the first position, causing panic within the Congress and BRS.

Rao Criticises Revanth Reddy Over Centre-State Relations

Rao criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for repeatedly claiming that the Central Government is not cooperating with Telangana.

He compared the Chief Minister’s statements to a cinema dialogue in which a comedian says:

“He will alone lift the mountain, but asks villagers to come and place it on my head.”

Highlighting the Centre’s contribution, Rao said:

• Poor families receive 5 kg of free rice due to Central Government support.
• Telangana receives Rs. 400 crores annually under Swachh Bharat.
• The Centre supported projects including:
  • National Highways
  • AIIMS, Bibinagar
  • NIMZ, Zaheerabad
  • Kazipet Railway Coach Factory
  • Warangal Textile Park
  • Revival of Ramagundam Fertilizers Factory

He alleged that despite these contributions, the Chief Minister is spreading false claims for political reasons.

BJP Workers Asked to Intensify Public Campaign

Concluding his speech, Rao urged BJP leaders and workers to reach out to the public and intensify protests division-wise over:

• Local public issues
• Poor road conditions
• Failures of the administration
• Failures of the state government

He said people have high expectations from the BJP and are ready to bring the party to power.
