Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has said that pending issues between the Telangana government and the Indian Army can be resolved only through continuous dialogue and coordination. He stressed the need for appointing special officers from the Army side to address long-standing land and administrative matters.

Civil Military Liaison Conference Held in Hyderabad
Under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister, a Civil Military Liaison Conference was held at the Hyderabad Command Control Center. The meeting focused on the early resolution of pending land-related and administrative issues involving the Indian Army and the Telangana government.
Senior officials from both sides participated in detailed discussions aimed at strengthening coordination and improving cooperation.

CM Urges Appointment of Special Army Officers
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy requested the Army to appoint special officers to speed up the resolution of pending issues. He said continuous engagement between civil and military authorities is essential to avoid delays and ensure smooth administration.
Proposal to Shift Southern Command Office to Hyderabad
During the meeting, the Chief Minister also urged senior Army officials to consider relocating the main office of the Southern Command Center to Hyderabad, highlighting the city’s strategic importance, infrastructure, and connectivity.
Demand for Military School in Telangana
Revanth Reddy pointed out that two to four military schools have been sanctioned in several states across the country, but not a single military school has been established in Telangana in the last decade. He requested the Army and the Centre to immediately sanction and establish a military school in the state.
Telangana’s Support for National Security
The Chief Minister reaffirmed that the Telangana government will always cooperate with the Centre and the Indian Army on matters related to national security. As an example, he recalled the allocation of 3,000 acres of land for the VLF Navy Radar Station at Damagundam in Vikarabad district, demonstrating the state’s commitment to defence infrastructure.
Strengthening Civil-Military Coordination
Officials said the conference reflects a renewed push to strengthen civil-military relations in Telangana. Both sides agreed to maintain regular communication to resolve issues efficiently and work together in the national interest.
