Addressing a public gathering, the Chief Minister assured farmers that the government remains fully committed to their welfare. He said the delay is only procedural and that all eligible farmers will receive Rythu Bharosa funds once the municipal polls conclude.
Praja Palana – Praja Vijayotsava Sabha in Nalgonda
Revanth Reddy was speaking at the ‘Praja Palana – Praja Vijayotsava Sabha’ held after laying the foundation stone for the Young India Residential School in Gudur village, Miryalaguda mandal, Nalgonda district.
He stressed that:
- All welfare schemes will be implemented without discrimination
- Benefits will reach every eligible citizen, irrespective of political affiliation
Massive Investment in Farmers’ Welfare
Highlighting the Congress government’s focus on agriculture, the Chief Minister said:
- ₹21,000 crore has been allocated under the farmer loan waiver scheme
- 25.35 lakh farmers have benefited from loan waivers
- Farmers are receiving remunerative prices along with a ₹500 incentive
- Under Rythu Bharosa, ₹9,000 crore has already been distributed at ₹6,000 per farmer
He claimed that Telangana has become the state investing the highest amount in farmers’ welfare, with a total outlay of ₹1.10 lakh crore.
Appeal to Voters Ahead of Municipal Elections
Revanth Reddy urged people to vote in the upcoming municipal elections by evaluating the development achieved under the Congress government. He expressed confidence that the party would emerge victorious, stating that there is no strong opposition capable of stopping the Congress.
Ration Cards and Free Rice Scheme
The Chief Minister said that earlier, people waited years for ration cards, but now:
- The government is supplying 6 kilograms of premium rice
- 3.17 crore people across Telangana are benefiting from the scheme
He appealed to beneficiaries to support the Congress party in the elections.
Housing, SLBC Project, and Nalgonda Water Issue
Looking ahead, Revanth Reddy announced that:
- A large number of houses will be sanctioned for the poor in the upcoming April budget
- This initiative aims to ensure dignity and self-respect for underprivileged families
He also criticised the previous BRS government for neglecting the SLBC project, linking it to fluoride-contaminated drinking water issues in Nalgonda district. He assured that the Congress government is committed to completing the SLBC works within the next two years.
