Saudi Bus Tragedy: Families of Deceased to Depart Tonight as Telangana Govt Completes All Arrangements

Arrangements have been finalized to send the family members of those who died in the tragic bus accident in Saudi Arabia, said TMREIS Chairman Faheem Qureshi.

Arrangements have been finalized to send the family members of those who died in the tragic bus accident in Saudi Arabia, said TMREIS Chairman Faheem Qureshi. The relatives will be flown to Saudi Arabia tonight at 2 AM on Kuwait Airways.

Speaking to the media, Faheem Qureshi explained that the Telangana Government has been continuously coordinating with officials in Saudi Arabia to ensure that all procedures linked to the deceased are completed smoothly. He said that a government delegation, led by Minister Mohammad Azharuddin and MLA Majid Hussain, along with Shafiullah, has already reached Madina to oversee the process.

According to him, Indian officials, along with Saudi authorities, held a detailed meeting in Madina to finalize the formalities for handing over the bodies and completing other required documentation. “The government is making every possible effort to ensure that the process is completed at the earliest,” he said.

Qureshi added that the government is taking full responsibility for the travel and stay of the family members who are heading to Saudi Arabia. Lodging, local transportation, and other arrangements are being managed entirely by the government so the families do not face any difficulties after reaching Madina.

The family members were asked to assemble at Haj House by 10 PM, from where they will be taken to the airport. Since there is no direct flight to Madina, the group will travel via Kuwait. Upon arrival, they will be received by the Telangana delegation already stationed there.

He further informed that the government assisted several relatives by arranging emergency passports and coordinating with the Saudi Embassy to secure visas. A total of 32 individuals are scheduled to travel, including 25 to 26 close family members of the deceased, while others are associated with the ongoing arrangements.

“The government is committed to ensuring that every family member who needs to be there is sent without any inconvenience,” he said. “Those who could not get passports or visas in time will be accommodated on the next available flight.”

Qureshi assured that the process will continue until all families receive complete support from the state government.
