Producer Suresh Kamatchi, who backed the film, took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to announce the exciting news. He shared, “Happy Happy news!! Namma star #STR in pirandha naalai kondada meendum varugiradhu #Maanaadu (To celebrate the birthday of our star STR, Maanaadu returns.) @SilambarasanTR_ in #ReReleaseOfMaanaadu on Jan 31st.”
Actor S J Suryah, who portrayed the antagonist in Maanaadu, also shared the news on his X timeline earlier, writing, “Again soon Maanaadu re-release.”
