In Hyderabad, Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu on May 4 urged IT firms to take direct responsibility for mentoring and skilling nearly 2 lakh engineering graduates passing out every year in Telangana.

Speaking at the 10th anniversary celebration of PSR Techhub held at Taj Vivanta Begumpet on Monday, the Minister emphasized that classroom education alone cannot bridge the gap between academic learning and industry readiness. The initiative is ongoing with plans for structured skilling programmes and the upcoming AI Hub.
Sridhar Babu Calls IT Firms to Mentor 2 Lakh Graduates
Addressing entrepreneurs and young professionals, the Minister highlighted the scale of the challenge and opportunity.
He stated:
- Nearly 2 lakh engineering graduates pass out every year in Telangana
- The responsibility of making them industry-ready cannot rest with the government alone
“The industry must step forward not just to absorb this talent, but to actively train, mentor, and shape it,” he said.
He urged IT companies to:
- Institutionalise structured skilling programmes
- Provide mentorship for graduates
- Actively participate in workforce development
AI Hub to Be Operational in Next Couple of Months
Announcing a key development, Duddilla Sridhar Babu revealed that the Telangana government will operationalise its AI Hub within the next couple of months.
The AI Hub will:
- Offer structured upskilling programmes
- Provide reskilling opportunities for software engineers
- Strengthen industry readiness across the state
PSR Techhub Example of Growth and Employment
The Minister praised PSR Techhub as a model company.
Key achievements:
- Founded in 2016
- Turnover reached ₹120 crore
- Provided employment to over 250 associates
He said the company demonstrates how mid-sized IT firms can contribute to Telangana’s technology workforce.

Sridhar Babu congratulated Ranga Rao and the entire PSR Techhub team for completing 10 years.
He described the company as:

PSR Techhub Director P. Namyutha Commits to Training Graduates
Responding to the Minister’s appeal, Director P. Namyutha made a commitment:
