Hyderabad: Tension prevailed in Nampally on Friday after members of the Telangana Jagruti Students Federation staged a protest outside the office of the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE), alleging that the board was supporting unauthorized colleges and jeopardizing students’ futures.

The protesters gathered outside the board office and raised slogans, accusing officials of negligence and collusion with private institutions operating without proper recognition. They claimed that thousands of students enrolled in such colleges are now facing uncertainty regarding their academic year.

Demand to Safeguard Students’ Academic Year

The agitating students demanded that those already admitted to unrecognized colleges be allowed to appear for examinations in order to safeguard their academic year. They urged authorities to take immediate corrective steps and initiate action against institutions running without valid approval.

Student leaders stated that their agitation would continue until justice is ensured for affected students and strict action is taken against illegal colleges.

Officials have yet to issue a detailed statement regarding the allegations.
