Task Force Cracks Down on Illegal Steroid Trade, Seizes Injections and Equipment

Hyderabad: In a major crackdown, the Task Force police from the Charminar Zone have busted a racket involved in the illegal sale of banned steroid injections in Chaderghat area of the Old City.
Acting on a tip-off, police apprehended two individuals — Shaik Sameer and Wasim Khan, residents of Old Malakpet — who were allegedly engaged in the illegal sale of prohibited Mephentermine steroid injections.
During the operation, officials seized 20 injections, three mobile phones, and a motorcycle from their possession. Authorities stated that the accused were actively distributing these banned substances without authorization.
During interrogation, the accused revealed that they procured the injections through courier services from Delhi and sold them illegally in the city.
Police have registered a case against four persons in connection with the racket, and further investigation is currently underway to identify other links in the supply chain.
Officials emphasized that such illegal activities pose serious health risks and strict action will be taken against those involved in the distribution of banned pharmaceutical substances.
