Hyderabad: Leaders of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) celebrated the grant of bail to former Chief Minister and TDP National President N. Chandrababu Naidu by bursting fireworks at NTR Trust Bhavan in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Prominent leaders in attendance included National Politburo members Arvind Kumar Goud and Bakkani Narasimhulu, National Spokespersons Nannuri Narasimha Reddy and Joshna Tirunagari, Telangana TDP State Vice Presidents Kantragadda Prasuna and Sama Bhupal Reddy, as well as State General Secretary Ajmera Raju Naik.

Bakkani Narasimhulu, while speaking to the media, expressed his happiness at Naidu’s release and stated, “Today is a good day for us. Naidu was unjustly detained for 53 days. We are pleased with the protests not only in neighboring states but also worldwide against his wrongful arrest.”

Narasimhulu mentioned that Telangana TDP President Kasani Gnaneshwar had resigned from the party due to not being fielded as candidates in the Telangana Assembly elections.

He emphasised the TDP’s commitment to the welfare of backward classes and reminded that in the 2014 elections, Chandrababu Naidu had announced a BC candidate as Chief Minister.

Narasimhulu also stressed that party leaders should respect the decisions made by the party president and that internal party matters should not be disclosed to the public.

He expressed gratitude to the High Court for granting bail to Naidu on health grounds and thanked all those who had supported Naidu during his arrest.

Arvind Kumar Goud, speaking on Naidu’s initiative, mentioned that numerous individuals found employment opportunities in Telangana, particularly in response to the call of software engineers for “CBN’s Gratitude,” which attracted thousands to GMC Balayogi Stadium in Gachibowli on Sunday.

He criticised the registration of baseless cases against Chandrababu Naidu and expressed confidence that Naidu would be exonerated from all such allegations.

Goud also criticised the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister for working with political rivalry and assured that the party would respond at an appropriate time. He emphasized that the TDP upholds social justice and urged party members not to worry, stating that Chandrababu Naidu never engages in wrongdoing.

Party National Spokesperson Joshna stated that Chandrababu Naidu is a leader of the people who was unlawfully incarcerated for 52 days. She highlighted the victory of the people in securing his release on health grounds. Regarding Kasani Gyaneshwar, she asserted that the TDP is a vast political entity and has seen several leaders come and go, but it remains strong due to the dedication of its party workers.

Telangana TDP State Vice President Kontragadda Prasuna celebrated the early arrival of Diwali, emphasizing that justice prevailed because their leader had done nothing wrong. She also noted that Kasani Gyaneshwar had joined and left the party on his own accord and emphasized the TDP’s commitment to representing the weaker sections of society.

Other speakers at the event included State Vice President Sama Bhupal Reddy and party General Secretary Kurapati Venkateswarlu.
