Telangana Assembly Budget Session Day 10 Live: Key Bills, Budget Demands Discussed

The budget session of the Telangana Legislative Assembly entered its tenth day on Sunday, with proceedings commencing at 10 a.m. and a packed legislative agenda lined up for discussion.
According to the schedule released by Assembly Secretary Randela Tirupati, the Question Hour was suspended for the day to accommodate important legislative business.

Several significant government bills are scheduled to be introduced and discussed during the session. These include the Telangana Value Added Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2026; the Telangana Hate Speech and Hate Crimes (Prevention) Bill, 2026; and a bill focusing on the welfare and social security of gig and platform workers. Amendments to the Panchayat Raj Act and provisions concerning employees’ responsibilities toward parental care are also expected to be deliberated.
In addition, the Assembly will debate and vote on supplementary expenditure exceeding ₹62,610 crore for the financial year 2025–26.
With the session approaching its final phase, the proceedings are considered crucial as the government seeks to push forward key legislative measures and financial proposals.
