Telangana Assembly Session to Begin Tomorrow

Hyderabad: Telangana Assembly sessions will begin at 11 AM on Saturday. A gazette notification has been issued in this regard.
The Assembly sessions will be held for the first time after the formation of the new Congress government in the Telangana State. The newly elected MLAs will take oath in these sessions.
Meanwhile, the State government has appointed AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi as Protem Speaker and issued orders to this effect.
Prior to beginning the Assembly sessions, Akbaruddin will be sworn in as the Protem Speaker by Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan at Raj Bhavan at 8.30 AM.
Later, the Protem Speaker will hold Assembly meetings until the election of the new Speaker is completed.
After the adjournment of the Assembly, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will launch a free bus travel scheme for women from the Assembly premises.
Later, the Chief Minister will go to Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) and will launch the Arogyasri scheme. As part of the six guarantees, Congress has also promised in the election that it will implement the Arogyasri scheme with the expenditure limit of 10 lakh rupees.
