Rama Rao attributed this remarkable growth to what he described as revolutionary decisions, innovative policies, and progressive programs introduced during the BRS administration.
He further stated that the total number of IT employees in Telangana reached 10 lakh in 2023–24, marking a 209 percent increase over the past decade. Explaining the broader economic impact, he noted that each IT job generates four indirect employment opportunities in other sectors, resulting in nearly 40 lakh additional jobs.
Describing the growth as a testament to K. Chandrashekar Rao’s vision, Rama Rao claimed that Telangana achieved the highest growth rate in IT exports in the country during the decade-long BRS rule, firmly establishing the state as a global IT destination.
