Telangana Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari has announced that the State Formation Day will be celebrated grandly on June 2.

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari has announced that the State Formation Day will be celebrated grandly on June 2.

She stated that after the state Chief minister pays tribute to the martyrs of Telangana at the Martyrs Stupam in Gun Park on the morning of June 2, he will participate in the program organised at the Secunderabad Parade Grounds.

The Chief Secretary held a review meeting with the secretaries and senior officials of various departments at Dr BR Ambedkar’s Secretariat on Monday to discuss the arrangements for the State Formation Day, an official statement said.

Speaking on this occasion, the Chief Secretary said that the Chief Minister will unveil the “State Song” at the morning program at the Parade Grounds and deliver a message.

A large-scale carnival featuring all the art forms of the state will be organized on Tank Bund from 1900 hours to 2100 hours. Additionally, 5,000 police officers undergoing training will participate in this performance with the band.

Around 80 stalls will be set up on Tank Bund, with food stalls provided by well-known hotels in the city, along with various items made by handicrafts, handlooms, and self-help groups. A recreation hall with various sports activities will be available for children attending the event with their families. Given the large, expected turnout, officials have been directed to ensure that attendees do not face any inconvenience.

Shanti Kumari explained that after the cultural performances on Tank Bund, there will be an attractive firework display and a laser show. She added that all government offices should be decorated with electric lights on the occasion of the state’s formation day.

DGP Ravi Gupta, Government Principal Secretaries Dana Kishore, Sailaja Ramaiyer, Srinivasa Raju, GAD Secretary Raghunandan Rao, and other officials attended the meeting.
