Telangana Government and MASK NextGen to Prepare 80,000 Minority Students for an AI-Driven Future

The programme will be offered at no cost to the state government through a strategic partnership model supported by Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. It also reflects the focus of Minority Welfare Minister Mohammed Azharuddin on creating equal opportunities for minority students to excel in future-oriented industries.

Hyderabad: In a major initiative aimed at preparing students for an AI-driven future, the Telangana Government, in collaboration with Doxa Consulting Private Limited (DCPL) and MASK NextGen Inc., has announced the launch of the “AI Readiness and Digital Safety Programme” for 80,000 students studying in institutions run by the Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS).

The programme, which will be implemented across 205 residential schools from August 15, 2026, is designed to equip minority students with essential skills in artificial intelligence, digital literacy and online safety, while preparing them for emerging opportunities in the technology sector.

The initiative aligns with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s vision of providing quality education from the school level and transforming Telangana into one of India’s leading destinations for artificial intelligence and technology-based employment.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Mohammed Azharuddin said the initiative aims to ensure that talented students are not left behind in the rapidly evolving technological landscape.

“By introducing AI and digital literacy at the school level, we are empowering students to participate in and lead the technology revolution envisioned for Telangana,” he said.

The curriculum, developed and delivered by MASK NextGen through a gamified and self-paced digital platform, comprises 24 interactive modules along with three major assessments.

The programme has been designed to build foundational knowledge of artificial intelligence and digital safety, improve English communication skills, strengthen leadership qualities and promote values such as gender respect, diversity and inclusion among students.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MASK NextGen, Avni Trivedi, described the initiative as more than a training programme, stating that it would help students develop critical thinking abilities, identify opportunities and gain technical expertise necessary to succeed in an AI-driven economy.

She expressed confidence that the initiative would empower students to become active contributors to Telangana’s growing technology ecosystem.

Joseph Christopher, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Doxa Consulting Private Limited, said the company was proud to serve as the global partner for MASK NextGen in the initiative.

He stated that the programme would support Telangana‘s vision of building a skilled, inclusive and globally competitive workforce by expanding access to future-focused education in artificial intelligence and digital safety.

Officials said the programme is expected to play a significant role in bridging the digital divide and preparing minority students for careers in emerging technologies, thereby contributing to the state’s long-term economic and technological growth.
