The Telangana government has declared a holiday for schools, colleges, and government employees on September 17, to mark the occasion of Ganesh idol immersion.

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has declared a holiday for schools, colleges, and government employees on September 17, to mark the occasion of Ganesh idol immersion.

In a Government Order (GO), Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari announced that Tuesday (September 17), will be a holiday for government offices, schools, and colleges located in and around the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, as well as the Ranga Reddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts.

As a result, November 9 (Second Saturday), will be observed as a working day for all government offices, schools, and colleges in these areas to compensate for the holiday declared on September 17.
