The Chief Minister also outlined several measures aimed at making Hyderabad a pollution-free city. He stated that all industries categorized under the red and orange categories will be relocated beyond the Outer Ring Road (ORR) as part of the city’s environmental protection plan.

Highlighting major reforms in the transport sector, Revanth Reddy said that by December 2026, all diesel buses operating in Hyderabad will be shifted to districts, and the city will run 100 percent electric buses. He added that by December 9, no diesel buses will be seen on Hyderabad roads, and only air-conditioned electric buses will operate in the city.

To further promote eco-friendly transportation, the government is offering zero tax incentives for people purchasing electric vehicles. As part of this broader push toward sustainable mobility and women’s empowerment, the government is also actively exploring the plan to provide electric scooters to female college students in the state.
