Hyderabad: The Telangana Fire Disaster Response Emergency and Civil Defence Department has launched a Civil Defence Volunteer Training programme for youth to prepare them as first responders during emergencies. The seven-day training programme began on March 9 in Hyderabad and aims to equip young volunteers with essential skills needed during disasters and emergency situations.

The initiative reflects Telangana’s efforts to build a strong network of trained volunteers who can assist authorities and save lives during critical situations.

Training Programme Inaugurated at PG College Saifabad

The Civil Defence Volunteer Training programme in Telangana was officially inaugurated at PG College Saifabad in Hyderabad.

The programme was launched by G. V. Narayana Rao, Director of Fire Services, in the presence of several officials from the Fire and Disaster Response department.

The training will continue from:

  • March 9 to March 15
  • At PG College Saifabad, Hyderabad
  • With participation from youth volunteers

Officials said the programme aims to prepare young citizens to respond effectively in emergency situations.

Skills Youth Will Learn in Civil Defence Training

Participants in the Telangana Civil Defence Volunteer Training programme will receive hands-on instruction in several emergency response skills.

Training modules include:
