The State government has enabled access to over 580 MeeSeva services across 38 departments through WhatsApp, making citizen services faster and more seamless.
Hyderabad: Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu launched the ‘MeeSeva Services on WhatsApp’ at a hotel in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
The State government has enabled access to over 580 MeeSeva services across 38 departments through WhatsApp, making citizen services faster and more seamless.
The service can be accessed round-the-clock through the official WhatsApp number 8096 95 8096.
Citizens can now apply for certificates, track applications, receive updates, and download issued documents directly from the authenticated WhatsApp number. The WhatsApp chatbot has been implemented, in collaboration with Meta, leveraging advanced conversational AI technologies. Significantly, the solution has been supported by Meta, reflecting a strong public–private collaboration to enhance citizen service delivery.
This initiative has been introduced by the Telangana government in a strategic partnership with Meta and MeeSeva, bringing public services directly to people’s fingertips.
According to officials, the Electronic Services Delivery (ESD), under the MeeSeva initiative, has been at the forefront of revolutionising citizen service delivery in Telangana.
With a network of over 5,000+ service centers across the state, MeeSeva has played a pivotal role in bridging the digital divide and providing citizens with efficient, transparent, and integrated access to Government-to-Citizen (G2C) services.
The ESD also delivers the MeeSeva services through the MeeSeva Mobile App.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Sridhar Babu said the MeeSeva WhatsApp Services introduce an advanced, conversational AI-driven platform that enables citizens to access government services through a simple chat interface on WhatsApp.
This initiative aims to make government services more accessible, inclusive, and user-friendly by bringing them directly to the mobile phones of citizens across Telangana, he said.
