State Election Commission Sounds Poll Bugle

State Election Commissioner Rani Kumudini issued the election notification after holding a review meeting with district collectors, SPs, and police commissioners to ensure smooth conduct of the municipal elections. She later addressed the media at the State Election Commission office in Hyderabad.

  • Nominations Begin: January 28
  • Last Date to File Nominations: January 30
  • Scrutiny of Nominations: January 31
  • Last Date for Withdrawal: February 3
  • Polling Day: February 11
  • Counting of Votes: February 13
  • Election of Chairpersons & Mayors: February 16

Over 53 Lakh Voters to Cast Their Vote

More than 53 lakh voters are expected to exercise their franchise in the Telangana municipal elections, which will be conducted under tight security and strict enforcement of election rules.
