Hyderabad: The government of Telangana is poised to celebrate its Formation Day on June 2 with the unveiling of a new official emblem and anthem.
In a significant announcement on Wednesday, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy revealed that the new emblem design and the state anthem titled “Jaya Jaya Hey Telangana” have been finalised.
The emblem, crafted by artist Rudra Rajesham, and the anthem, penned by noted poet Ande Sri and composed by the acclaimed MM Keeravani, were presented during a meeting convened by the Chief Minister.
The meeting also saw the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, adviser to CM Vem Narender Reddy, and TJS president Kodandaram.
During the session, vocalists performed the state anthem, which has a duration of two minutes and 30 seconds. The CM expressed his admiration for the entire team, particularly appreciating the musical composition by Keeravani.
The new emblem and anthem are expected to be officially introduced during the state’s Formation Day celebrations, marking a new chapter in Telangana’s cultural and political identity.
