TGPSC Recruitment 2026: OTR Update Mandatory Before New Job Notifications, Check Details
TGPSC has made OTR update mandatory for 31.56 lakh candidates ahead of new recruitment notifications and extended the deadline to February 25, 2026.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has announced that it has completed the selection process for all pending recruitment notifications and is now preparing to issue new job notifications shortly.

In view of upcoming recruitments, TGPSC has directed all registered candidates to update and validate their One Time Registration (OTR) data, which will be treated as the final and primary record for all future recruitment processes.
OTR Update Made Mandatory for All Candidates
According to the official press note, around 31.56 lakh candidates are currently registered in the TGPSC OTR system. The Commission has clearly stated that:
- All future notifications, applications, results, and final selections
- Will be processed strictly based on OTR data only
Candidates who fail to update their OTR details within the stipulated time may become ineligible for upcoming recruitment notifications.
What Candidates Must Update in OTR
TGPSC has instructed candidates to carefully verify and update the following details:
- Personal, educational, and category details
- All eligible and additional qualifications
- Relevant certificates, including a latest colour passport-size photograph
Candidates holding multiple or additional qualifications must update all such details and upload supporting documents.
Important Instructions Issued by TGPSC
The Commission has also issued key guidelines for candidates:
- Each candidate must have only one OTR
- OTR remains valid unless cancelled by the Commission or the candidate
- Except for qualifications, address, EWS status, Non-Creamy Layer details, mobile number, and email ID, other fields are non-editable
- Uploaded OTR information will be treated as final data for all future recruitments
Candidates are advised to exercise utmost care while updating details to avoid errors or discrepancies.
OTR Update Deadline Extended to February 25
TGPSC initially allowed OTR updates from January 19 to February 9, 2026. However, the Commission has now extended the deadline up to February 25, 2026, giving candidates additional time to complete the process.
Only candidates who update their OTR data and upload required certificates within this period will be allowed to apply for the recruitment notifications proposed to be released soon.

The press note was issued under the authority of Burra Venkatesham, Chairman of TGPSC, who emphasized that the OTR update is crucial to ensure faster recruitment, early declaration of results, and timely issue of appointment orders.
