Kukatpally Ganja Case: Three Women Arrested in Hyderabad, over 1.18 Kg Seized

Three women were arrested in Kukatpally, Hyderabad, for selling ganja. Balanagar Excise Police seized 1.185 kg of dry ganja during the raid.

Hyderabad: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, three women were arrested for selling ganja in Kukatpally and surrounding areas, following a raid conducted by the Balanagar Excise Police. A total of 1.185 kilograms of dry ganja was seized from the accused during the operation.

Ganja Sales Attempted in Balanagar and Fathenagar

According to officials, the accused women had procured ganja from Dhoolpet and were attempting to sell it in Balanagar and Fathenagar areas. Acting on specific tip-off information, the Balanagar Excise team conducted searches and caught the accused red-handed.

Accused Identified and Arrested

The arrested women have been identified as:

  • Pinky
  • Lakshmi
  • Vijetha

During the raid, excise officials recovered 1.185 kg of dry ganja from their possession.

Case Registered, Investigation Underway

A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the law. Balanagar Excise Police have taken up further investigation to trace the source of the ganja supply and identify others involved in the network.

Officials stated that strict action will continue against those involved in illegal ganja sale in Hyderabad, especially in residential and commercial areas.

Ongoing Crackdown on Drug Menace

The police have reiterated their commitment to curb the ganja trade in Kukatpally and nearby localities. Citizens have been urged to share information with authorities to help keep their neighbourhoods drug-free.
